Audi R8 | Update 30-09-'09

Hi People! Welcome back to my third update.

The previous 2/3 days, I prepaired the interior so I could place it on the chassis. I painted the interior 'box' with a nice beige colour.

As you see, I painted it with my AirBrush. This were the first time I used my AirBrush. I think everyone should use AirBrush. It's very nice to use it!

After that, I painted the seats. I painted it in 2 colours, with 3 layers. Please see the pictures below.

Audi R8 | Update 27-09-'09

Hi People! This is my second update. I painted the dashboard today. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I wanted to. I painted extra thick. That's because of I wanted to create an 'Alcantara' look.
This is what I mean wih Alcantara:

Unfortunately, this isn't suceeded. I couldn't get that 'dusty' effect...

The result:

You see, the layer paint is too thick.Of course I'm going to polish it. Hopefully that works.. However, I hope you like it. My next update will be much, and much better! :)

Audi R8 | Update 26-09-'09!

Hi People!

Welcome to my very first update. I've done lots of work. I've painted the chassis in black and I''ve done the whole motor. I put the silver metallic triggers on it, and last but not least: I carbonized some parts of the motor. It gives a very, very nice effect, don't you think so?

Not my motor, but of a friend of mine. I forgot to take a picture of mine.

The Start!

Hi people! Welcome to my weblog. Here, I´ll show you the way I make my Audi R8 of revell.
Well, let´s start!

A couple of years ago, I bought this lovely Audi R8. I walked trough the city. And suddenly my eyes looked to a new Revell scale model kit. It was the Audi R8! I fell in love with it. I got into the shop, and I bought the kit. `Yes! I´ve got the Audi R8. I´m one of the first persons, I think'

So, a few years later I took the kit out of the shelf. I blew the dust from it. This is going to be a very, very nice car!
I'm going to paint the car Metallic White. That's because of some very nice pictures I saw on Google.
I'll paint the wheels black. What about the rest? You will see in my next messages!
